Lights and Wallpaper
Is my sanity your sanity? What woman doesn’t want to make her home comfortable for herself and her family? It’s our haven, comfort zone, and a feeling that everyone wants to return to everyday. I get excited when I get new lights to hang to replace what I liked 5 years ago, or I finally do an accent wall in the bathroom with funky wallpaper that I’ve wanted to do for like forever. It makes me feel good when I accomplish something and improve my surroundings. Drives my husband crazy when I ask, “will you hang these lights?” He says something like, “what’s the matter with the old ones, did they wear themselves out?” He grumbles but he does it, lol. This bathroom makes me feel good every time I go in, I know crazy right. And I did it myself. It’s peel and stick wallpaper. Imagine trying to put up a huge sticker perfectly. Oh my gosh, I ruined ½ of the roll. Thankfully I bought more than enough. The pros to this, when I don’t want it in less than five years which seems to be the pattern, I peel it off and done.
Check out target.com for peel and stick wallpaper or buy the old- fashioned kind, maybe that’s easier to put up. Don’t know. Here’s a link for another choice of mine: Retro Floral Peel & Stick Wallpaper Red – Opalhouse™ : Target
And the lights, thank you to my husband and son for their efforts in my sanity for hanging. I know it hurt you, but it helped me.
LOVE IT
What is Sanity Anyway?
If it improves my mood, keeps me busy while occupying my mind, and the end result makes me feel good about my creation, it’s the definition of sanity. Enough said, this is real life. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make yourself feel good. I mostly shop online and find a good bargain alternative to the expensive item I see on Pinterest or within influencer blogs and sites when I am ready to be sane, aka, of sound mind. .. …
I think Burt would be proud that I am doing my best to continue the things I love most, just learning how to do it in a new way, with the new me twist!! I’m glad I have and company for the assistance in my journey. You rock my world and lights don’t hang themselves. Let’s keep on decorating!!
XO,
Alison
“Burt would be so proud and very happy to know that you’re continuing to do the things you love doing the most.
I’m in love with the boho beaded light. I think I need it in my bedroom…wink wink! You know sisters; we often like the same things! And yes, your home is your haven. We should love coming home to it, so it is necessary to make it look absolutely lovely. 😉
